Following nine years of legal practice in a large law firm setting, where she experienced first-hand the challenges and demands facing practicing lawyers, Naomi decided to leave legal practice and work in the legal field in a new capacity -- as a coach helping lawyers meet those challenges.   Since 2002, Naomi has been providing coaching services to hundreds of attorneys at all levels of seniority to empower themselves to use their strengths and talents to accomplish their professional goals.

Naomi’s coaching work spans the array of issues that lawyers face in today’s world of legal practice.  She works with lawyers, on an individual and group basis, to improve their communication and leadership skills, advance their business development skills, manage their anxiety and anger, tackle time-management challenges, and improve their work/life integration.

Naomi also has extensive experience working with attorneys who find themselves – voluntarily or otherwise – in need of transitioning out of their places of employment to new venues, including law firms, companies, government agencies, public interest groups and various non-legal venues.  She continues to provide this service in this challenging market, and approaches the transition process with grounded optimism.

Naomi’s legal background is concentrated in the field of bank and securities regulatory law, and she divided her years of practice between Washington, DC and Los Angeles. She began her legal career with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP before joining Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, first in Washington, DC and later in Los Angeles.  She graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, Order of the Coif, in 1997, and received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, Magna Cum Laude, in 1993.

Naomi is a certified graduate of MentorCoach LLC, a leading training program for professional coaches.  Naomi is a member of the California, Washington, DC and Virginia bars, as well as of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, the Association for Psychological Type, the
American Counseling Association, and the International Coach Federation.

She lives in suburban Los Angeles with her husband and four children.
